- I have a USR 28.8 Sportster and I only get 26.4 connects about 90% of the
- time. The phone line conditions are probably noisy so the modems cannot
- connect at 28.8 for Receive/Transfer. If you do an ATI11 after you
- disconnect you should see that you get a 26400/28800 connect, meaning
- that you can transfer at 28.8 but when you download, you only get 26.4.
- You canot do anything about it - unless you can convince the phone
- company to fix the line noise problem.
